The Aurora Commons is Open!

On Friday, March 18, just over a year after we signed a lease for a rundown storefront space at 8914 Aurora Avenue, Awake and our neighbors were overjoyed to celebrate the opening of the Aurora Commons. We are so thankful for all of the support we received that was expressed through prayers, time, money, and the sharing of skills. This was truly a community effort. And more than anything, we are thankful to our faithful God, who’s grace, faithfulness, and provision were on display throughout the entire process. To God be the glory!
Now, please enjoy this video, featuring footage from our opening party and one of Awake’s first gatherings in this beautiful space, as well as words from members of Awake about the important life and work that we are all called to – extending the love of God to our neighbors.
